This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Drive product utilization in designated Priority Accounts and Affiliated Healthcare Systems within the cardiovascular brand portfolio.
• Create and execute strategic business plans for prioritized top accounts and affiliated healthcare systems.
• Foster institutional advocacy to facilitate formulary acceptance of cardiovascular brands.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement programs centered around institutions.
• Cultivate relationships with administrative, clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders.
• Enhance pathways, transitions of care, treatment protocols, and workflow facilitation.
• Perform periodic needs assessments with key clients.
• Identify and enable injection sites appropriate to account archetypes and pathways.
• Integrate workflows and EMR with administrative stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Leverage knowledge of inpatient and outpatient billable reimbursements, market economics, access models, payment programs, and industry trends.
• Stay informed about Novartis pricing offers and communicate updates to account administrators.
• Collaborate with local partners to develop and sustain targeted, institution-specific business plans.
• Deliver product and disease state presentations to physicians and their teams.
• Lead cross-functional teams to formulate, implement, and refine business plans.
• Assist cross-functional team members in recognizing business opportunities and diagnosing implementation challenges.
• Generate insights into new business prospects and engage decision-makers to facilitate account purchases and HCP orders of Novartis products.
• Bachelor’s degree required from a four-year college or university.
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, healthcare, or similar industries with large, geographically dispersed teams.
• 2+ years of experience in specialty buy-and-bill.
• 2+ years of experience managing complex accounts, including major academic institutions and hospitals.
• Extensive knowledge of the cardiovascular community.
• Proven track record of expertise in the therapeutic area and product knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across various functions in a matrix environment.
• Understanding of the healthcare ecosystem.
• Strong business acumen.
• Proficiency in technology and digital engagement.
• Candidate must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a wide geography.
• Capability to drive and/or fly within the territory.
• Fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• Must adhere to customer credentialing guidelines, which may include vaccination requirements.
