Manager, Business Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of a team focused on creating enterprise-level data assets, reports, visualizations, dashboards, metrics, and data extracts.

• Facilitate both quantitative and qualitative analyses that address significant business challenges and inquiries.

• Recruit, retain, and empower team members through a supportive and collaborative approach.

• Lead the BICOE enablement team and enhance Centene's analyst community as it transitions to AI-driven analytics.

• Cultivate influential relationships throughout the organization and provide guidance on practical solutions in technical discussions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business needs.

• Oversee the complete design and development of scalable, reliable solutions while ensuring governance of departmental processes and patterns.

• Supervise assigned personnel and manage departmental operations.

• Direct, guide, and review team efforts to guarantee successful operational results.

• Ensure that policies, practices, and procedures are clearly understood and adhered to.

• Develop and refine procedures, lead change initiatives, and operationalize strategic goals.

• Ensure tasks are completed within set budgets and timelines.

• Design, develop, implement, and provide training for end-users on business intelligence and analytical solutions.

• Identify technological opportunities impacting enterprise-wide BI systems.

• Manage data solutions throughout the entire software/solution development life cycle.

• Hire and train staff, conduct performance evaluations, and offer leadership, technical guidance, and coaching.

• Enhance staff capabilities and communicate organizational objectives effectively.

• Inspire and motivate team members to achieve desired outcomes.

• Adhere to all established policies and standards.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with over 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through applicable knowledge, duties, scope, and skills reflective of the position's level.

• A Master's Degree is preferred.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Sponsorship or future sponsorship is not available, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, or CPT.

• Experience with one or more of the following: Power BI platform onboarding and governance; Snowflake-based analytics environments; advanced SQL and analytical problem-solving; enterprise reporting and BI strategy; large-scale BI or analytics platform migrations; user adoption and organizational change management; executive stakeholder management; leading technical and business teams through transformation initiatives; data catalog and metadata platforms; AI-enabled analytics and Copilot adoption; healthcare analytics environments.
