Manager, Balance Sheet Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Manage and cultivate a team of roughly 15–20 Staff Accountants

• Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations, account substantiation, and resolution of reconciling items are completed accurately and on time

• Review intricate account reconciliations and offer technical support

• Track team productivity, quality, and month-end close deliverables utilizing performance metrics and reporting

• Collaborate with Site Liaisons, hospital CFOs, Technical Accounting, and other cross-functional teams

• Spearhead process improvement initiatives aimed at standardization, automation, scalability, and operational efficiency

• Examine general ledger activities, journal entries, and subledger transactions to address reconciliation discrepancies

• Utilize Oracle ERP, Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud, OTBI reporting, Excel, and various other technological solutions

• Promote the adoption of AI and other emerging technologies

• Ensure adherence to GAAP, company accounting policies, and healthcare regulatory standards

• Recruit, coach, develop, and mentor team members effectively

• Assist department initiatives, organizational transformation efforts, and special projects

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• Over 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, ideally in the healthcare sector

• Prior experience in leading or managing accounting teams is essential

• Strong expertise in balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and month-end close processes

• Experience in a shared services or centralized accounting setting is preferred

• Proven success in leading process improvement, standardization, or automation projects

• Proficiency with Oracle ERP is required

• Experience with Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud (ARC) is highly preferred

• Familiarity with reporting tools such as OTBI, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms is advantageous

• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysis

• Advanced Excel capabilities and the ability to analyze large datasets

• Capacity to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement scalable solutions

• Ability to utilize AI and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities

• Capability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced month-end close environment

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
