Manager, Assurance, Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead teams engaged with clients to execute audits, compliance tax engagements, budgeting, internal controls, and financial/accounting transactions.

• Provide industry-specific and technical insights in audit and assurance through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations, and high-quality deliverables.

• Manage a portfolio of clients, comprehend their business and key risks, add value, and enhance client relationships and accounts.

• Oversee engagement planning and scheduling while managing project financials, including budgets, work in progress, timely billing, collections, and variance recognition.

• Uphold quality control and utilize specialized knowledge to predict, identify, and resolve issues pertinent to clients’ businesses, financial entries, and reports.

• Network within the local business community and aid in business development opportunities and competitive proposals.

• Mentor, inspire, and coach team members through clear expectations, constructive feedback, and performance evaluations.

• Travel as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA designation.

• 4 to 6 years of pertinent public accounting experience.

• Strong comprehension of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles.

• Demonstrated capabilities in people management, relationship building, and leadership.

• Willingness to travel as required.
