Manager, 3PL Operations, Warehousing, Logistics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily 3PL operations, including inbound processes, picking, packing, shipping, inventory management, and returns.

• Generate daily UnPGI orders and reports on sales invoiced from the previous day.

• Perform weekly reviews of claims and implement necessary corrective actions.

• Take ownership of customer-critical shipments and address any service deviations.

• Monitor and enforce 3PL Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as receiving accuracy, shipment precision, shipping timelines, inventory accuracy, and timeliness of returns.

• Initiate and manage quarterly performance improvement plans as needed.

• Review invoices related to warehouse and transportation services.

• Confirm overtime and ad-hoc labor charges while tracking expedited shipments.

• Aid in the management of budget performance.

• Lead bi-weekly reviews of internal launch timelines and trackers.

• Ensure completion of MDM, SDS, and other setup components for new product launches.

• Guarantee that launch orders are shipped on time and manage transportation up to delivery.

• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintain audit readiness; keep licensing records updated.

• Collaborate with Quality Assurance on the development of SOPs and conduct audits.

• Establish connectivity and implement Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) requirements for comprehensive product traceability.

• Evaluate the capabilities and limitations of 3PL providers.

• Scope and lead non-standard requests, including inspections, rework, and repacking.

• Communicate capacity limits and operational plans to cross-functional teams.

• Provide volume forecasts and ensure that 3PL labor plans align with demand.

• Monitor and authorize overtime and ad-hoc labor as necessary.

• Conduct weekly management reviews and quarterly business assessments.

• Collaborate with teams across Customer Care, Commercial, Finance, and Operations.

• Support root-cause analysis and change initiatives aimed at improving service delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with over 5 years of experience in Logistics, Operations Management, or a related discipline.

• Experience in inbound and outbound logistics.

• Familiarity with warehousing operations.

• Experience handling controlled substances.

• In-depth understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.

• Knowledge of customs regulations and FDA clearance processes.

• Familiarity with compliance requirements for GMP, GDP, GWP, cGMP, FDA, and US Customs and Border Protection (USCBP).

• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa transfer or sponsorship, now or in the future.

• Preferred locations include the Midwest United States: Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, or Tennessee.

• Proficient in Customer Relationship Management.

• Experience in Material Handling.

• Knowledge of Outbound Logistics.

• Familiarity with Product Recall processes.

• Experience managing Supply Inventory.

• Knowledge of Warehouse Management practices.
