Management Accountant, Manufacturing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the weekly P&L outlook for BCP Australia by business unit and analyze significant variances.

• Revise sales forecasts regularly.

• Generate sales and margin reports for each business unit.

• Assist Sales Managers by providing weekly data for operational reporting.

• Compile monthly P&L reports for each business unit, including variances, journals, accruals, and agreed adjustments.

• Conduct reconciliations to the general ledger for P&L, Balance Sheet, and Sales & Margin (PHP).

• Prepare corporate documentation such as material recovery environmental reports.

• Maintain Prophix sales data for BCP.

• Assemble BCP documentation for corporate and divisional management packs.

• Evaluate standard costs for business units and suggest updates.

• Calculate transfer prices for internal supply.

• Assess the effects of standard cost and transfer pricing changes on business unit margins.

• Update supplier and customer pricing as well as standard costs to reflect transfer pricing impacts.

• Conduct resin price sensitivity analyses.

• Revise rolling quarterly budgets in line with corporate and group requirements.

• Provide financial support to operations managers and the BCP Group.

• Execute inventory health analysis checks and generate associated reports.

• Aid the sales department with price list uploads and amendments.

• Support costing and pricing for new and proposed items through simulation and reporting.

• Assist the corporate finance team with capital expenditure and tax-related issues.

• Address management accounting-related ad hoc requests from both internal and external stakeholders.

• Uphold procedures for management accounting processes.

• Contribute to projects and initiatives within the BCP Group.

• Facilitate system enhancements and new software implementations.

• Follow up on opportunities to resolve issues stemming from role performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.

• Ideally CA or CPA qualified.

• Familiarity with standard costing, budgeting, and forecasting in a manufacturing context.

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and theories.

• Ability to interpret and improve key manufacturing metrics.

• Understanding of manufacturing costing concepts, including Bill of Materials (BOM), routings, cycle counts, labor hours, work centers, etc.

• Proficient in advanced Excel skills.
