This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Take ownership of and expand a portfolio of key pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing accounts.
• Act as the main executive-level contact and a reliable business partner.
• Comprehend customer goals, manufacturing priorities, operational hurdles, quality standards, and supply chain aims.
• Spot strategic opportunities by leveraging data, customer insights, and market dynamics to enhance account growth and wallet share.
• Oversee cross-functional account execution in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Cultivate relationships across procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, quality, engineering, and executive leadership.
• Design and implement strategic account plans, forecasts, and performance targets.
• Establish and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and facilitate strategic discussions with customers.
• Navigate complex customer interactions utilizing listening, organizational, and consultative questioning skills.
• Evaluate sales and account data to guide strategy and enhance account performance.
• Effectively manage time, priorities, and account intricacies with independence and accountability.
• Lead commercial negotiations related to pricing strategies, contract frameworks, and long-term agreements.
• Primarily work from a home office with significant regional travel to customer sites.
• A college degree or relevant/applicable experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a complex sales setting involving multiple stakeholders and solution-oriented selling, or 3+ years in pharmaceutical manufacturing where stakeholder relationships are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams.
• Experience with CRMs and sales analytics tools is preferred.
• Preferably, B2B sales experience, especially in distribution, life sciences, pharmaceutical manufacturing, bioprocessing, biotechnology, vaccine production, cell and gene therapy, or CDMO sectors.
• Demonstrated success in driving growth through consultative and strategic sales approaches.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and employ formal sales methodologies such as SPIN or Consultative Selling.
• A scientific or technical background is preferred.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations at least 4 days a week.
• A valid driver's license is required.
