Maintenance Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, and conducting preventive maintenance.

• Facilitate necessary repairs as they arise.

• Ensure a safe and tidy work environment adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Test new equipment as instructed.

• Document and relay actions taken, irregularities observed, and ongoing needs.

• Utilize email and Circle K computer-related forms efficiently.

• Engage in training programs for both existing and new equipment.

• Achieve related outcomes as well as Financial and Key Result Area targets in accordance with Company plan guidelines.

• Enhance professional and technical expertise through workshops, publications, networking, and professional organizations.

• Operate across multiple locations between Mt. Vernon and Carbondale, Illinois.

• Function with minimal guidance and occasional supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Other combinations of education and experience that fulfill the minimum requirements may be accepted.

• Preferred 3-5 years of experience in the maintenance construction sector.

• Experience in telecommunications is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Manual dexterity is required to operate machinery and work in restricted spaces.

• Proficiency in using power and hand tools.

• Capability to crouch, crawl, and utilize a ladder when necessary.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

• Competence to work independently in a high-priority, confidential, and demanding business setting.

• A valid driver’s license is required, along with insurability as a driver.

• Proficiency in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential.

• Ability to occasionally lift weights of up to 80 pounds.
