Maintenance Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Ensure equipment is maintained by troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, and performing preventive maintenance.

• Facilitate necessary repairs as needed.

• Uphold a safe and tidy work environment by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Test new equipment as instructed.

• Document and communicate actions taken, irregularities observed, and ongoing needs.

• Utilize email and Circle K computer-related forms for communication.

• Engage in training for both existing and new equipment.

• Achieve related results and targets in Financial and Key Result Areas in line with Company plan guidelines.

• Enhance professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, personal networks, and professional societies.

• Operate with minimal direction and receive periodic supervision.

• Provide support across multiple locations between Mt. Vernon and Carbondale, Illinois.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be considered.

• Preferred 3-5 years of experience in the maintenance construction field or greater.

• Must possess manual dexterity for operating equipment and working in confined spaces.

• Proficient in using power and hand tools.

• Ability to crouch and/or crawl, as well as use a ladder is necessary.

• Experience in telecommunications is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with multiple, shifting priorities.

• Ability to work independently in a high-priority, confidential, and demanding business setting.

• Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable as a driver.

• Computer literacy in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential.

• Must be able to sit for extended periods, operate a computer keyboard and mouse, view a monitor, communicate via telephone, and reach forward and/or overhead.

• Occasionally required to lift up to 80 pounds.
