Maintenance Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Execute a range of fundamental handyman duties

• Measure, cut, drill, nail, and assemble materials according to job specifications

• Install retail fixtures, railings, doors and door hardware, cabinetry, and décor packages utilizing finish carpentry skills

• Carry out service calls while adhering to proper safety protocols

• Troubleshoot and identify issues to aid in developing long-term solutions

• Manage job schedules and ensure work complies with quality standards, original plans, specifications, and deadlines

• Exhibit general safety awareness, wear necessary safety gear, utilize tools correctly, and maintain an accident-free record

• Maintain regular communication with clients and the EWB Maintenance Department team

• Keep workspaces clean and organized

• Take pride in craftsmanship and promote the same work ethic among coworkers and subcontractors

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance (or a related field) is required

• At least 3 years of experience in commercial construction is required

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail carpentry is required

• Plumbing experience is advantageous

• Ability to read blueprints and familiarity with construction methods is necessary

• Capable of performing general physical tasks typical for a carpentry role, including lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, repetitive motions, and using hand tools

• Previous experience in planning, laying out, and executing both interior and exterior carpentry is a plus

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

• Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License, have a good driving record, reliable transportation, and a clean background check

• Proven history of working safely and adhering to safety regulations

• Willingness to accommodate extended travel to job sites and overnight stays for up to one week

• Completion of an onboarding program including basic safety training, equipment training certification, CPR, and OSHA training if not previously completed
