Maintenance Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Execute a range of fundamental handyman tasks utilizing knowledge in measuring, cutting, drilling, nailing, and assembling materials according to job specifications.

• Install retail fixtures, railings, doors and door hardware, cabinetry, and décor packages applying finish carpentry skills.

• Carry out service calls while adhering to proper and safe procedures.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to help develop long-term solutions.

• Manage job schedules and ensure that work aligns with quality standards, original plans, specifications, and deadlines.

• Exhibit general safety knowledge, utilize appropriate safety gear, operate tools safely, and maintain an accident-free work environment.

• Regularly communicate with clients and the EWB Maintenance Department team to advance projects.

• Interact with clients with integrity, compassion, and empathy.

• Take pride in work and craftsmanship while promoting the same work ethic among colleagues and subcontractors.

• Complete onboarding, safety, equipment, CPR, and OSHA training.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance (or a similar field) is required.

• At least 3 years of experience in commercial construction is essential.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail carpentry is required.

• Plumbing experience is advantageous.

• Ability to read blueprints and possess knowledge of construction methods.

• Capable of performing general physical tasks typical of a carpentry position, including lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, repetitive motion, and using hand tools.

• Previous experience in layout, planning, and executing both interior and exterior carpentry is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Must have a valid CA Driver’s License, a good driving record, reliable transportation, and a clean background check.

• Proven history of working safely and complying with safety standards.

• Willingness to travel to work sites and stay overnight for up to one week.

• Must complete basic safety training, equipment training certification, CPR, and OSHA training if not already completed.
