Maintenance Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Complete the onboarding program during the first week, which includes basic safety training, equipment training certification, CPR, and OSHA training if not previously completed.

• Execute fundamental handyman tasks utilizing skills in measuring, cutting, drilling, nailing, and assembly.

• Install retail fixtures, railings, doors and door hardware, cabinetry, and décor packages by applying finish carpentry skills.

• Carry out service calls while adhering to appropriate and safe procedures.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to aid in developing long-term solutions.

• Maintain job schedules and ensure that work adheres to quality standards, original plans, specifications, and deadlines.

• Exhibit general safety knowledge by wearing suitable safety equipment, using tools safely, and remaining accident-free.

• Communicate consistently with clients and the EWB Maintenance Department team to advance projects.

• Show integrity, compassion, and empathy in client interactions.

• Take pride in workmanship and craftsmanship while promoting the same work ethic among coworkers and subcontractors.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance (or a similar field) is required.

• At least 3 years of experience in commercial construction is necessary.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail carpentry is required.

• Experience in plumbing is advantageous.

• Ability to read blueprints and familiarity with construction methods is essential.

• Capable of performing general physical tasks typical of carpentry, including lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, repetitive motions, and using hand tools.

• Previous experience in planning, laying out, and executing interior and exterior carpentry is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Must hold a valid CA Driver’s License, possess a good driving record, have reliable transportation, and a clean background check is required.

• Proven history of working safely and adhering to safety standards.

• Willingness to accommodate extended travel to work sites and overnight stays for up to one week.
