Maintenance and Service Technician III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Install, maintain, and repair cryogenic liquid and industrial gas supply and delivery systems.

• Work with systems involving nitrogen, oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, and helium, including pumping, high-pressure compression, and gas generation systems.

• Provide service to customer locations on a daily basis, typically within a 200-mile radius of your residence.

• Act as the primary liaison between Air Products and its customers.

• Facilitate communication between field operations and Air Products Management, Sales, and Engineering teams.

• Create work scopes for equipment repair and refurbishment.

• Actively engage in departmental safety initiatives.

• Advocate for safety regulations, rules, and environmental compliance.


⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A valid driver’s license along with a clean driving record is required.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• A strong emphasis on safety.

• Willingness and commitment to prioritize safety.

• Capacity to work outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year.

• Proficiency in using tools such as hammers, drills, core drills, hand saws, power saws, wrenches, pliers, brazing torches, and ladders.

• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities; capable of diagnosing and fixing complex issues.

• Comfortable working on de-energized circuits up to 480V.

• Ability to trace and measure voltage and amperage on instrumentation circuits.

• Familiarity with piping, regulators, valves, pumps, and compressors.

• Self-motivated and quick to learn, with a desire for growth and challenges.

• Comfortable working independently for extended periods as well as collaborating with others.

• Availability for on-call duties.

• Willingness to travel overnight (25%-30%) and daily (100%).

• A trade or technical degree, or completion of an apprenticeship in a related field is preferred but not essential.

• Brazing experience is an advantage but not required.

• Military or technical school experience in relevant sectors is well-suited; technical school students with applicable backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
