Mainframe Technical Consultant – Mainframe AIOPS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Drive the adoption of Broadcom software through presentations, demonstrations, installations, configurations, deployments, and proof of concept.

• Technically assess Broadcom Mainframe solutions and articulate their advantages to clients and partners.

• Comprehend customer technology requirements and design suitable solutions.

• Foster relationships across customer and partner IT divisions; document and disseminate infrastructure knowledge, challenges, and technical implications.

• Perform intricate product integration demonstrations and proofs of concept, tailoring them to customer environments.

• Maintain extensive technical expertise of business-unit products.

• Produce technical specifications and requirements documentation.

• Present the benefits of solutions and address client technical and functional needs.

• Provide technical leadership during trials, proofs of concept, and complex demonstrations.

• Communicate competitive advantages and cultivate customer and partner references.

• Support account teams with opportunity planning, forecasting, and financial objectives.

• Coordinate internal and external resources to capitalize on opportunities.

• Offer feedback to business units for product enhancements.

• Aid in proposal development, solution architecture overviews, statements of work, need-based sales methodologies, and enterprise management tools.

• Assist in partner enablement, technical training, and partner-led initiatives.

• Collaborate with and effectively manage virtual teams.

• Independently resolve daily issues and escalate larger concerns.

• Advise account teams and sales management on solution strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise as a subject matter expert in one of the following: IBM Mainframe Workload Manager and Performance Management; IBM Mainframe Storage Management; or IBM Mainframe AIOps and Auto Domain.

• Strong understanding of relevant Broadcom, IBM, Tivoli, BMC, Omegamon, CA-Sysview, CA OPS/MVS, or CA Netmaster solutions.

• A Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.

• Typically 10 or more years of in-depth MAINFRAME technical industry-related experience.

• Experience engaging with customers, sales teams, and/or customer services.

• Familiarity with related industry disciplines, technologies, and associated application experience.

• Proven experience in resolving complex technical challenges and integrating multiple products to deliver solutions.

• Native English speaker with proficiency in major European languages.

• Must be eligible for permanent residency and unrestricted work in the UK.

• IT industry-specific certifications.

• Willingness to travel approximately 50% or more annually.
