This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver software support and services to Ensono's mainframe clients concerning CICS and WAS.
• Install, test, and deploy new operating systems and system software.
• Maintain and troubleshoot systems software.
• Coordinate IOGEN tasks for new mainframe hardware.
• Research and assess new software and hardware solutions.
• Assist team members and other departments with technical inquiries and problem resolution.
• Monitor and optimize systems software performance.
• Process service orders for mainframe z/OS clients related to CICS TS and associated OEM software products.
• Serve as the primary support for reported issues with CICS TS/WAS and related OEM software.
• Provide support around the clock, 24/7, across various time zones.
• Install OEM software products following best practices and Ensono standards.
• Prepare customer partitions for operating system updates.
• Support customer migration services and transitions for newly acquired clients.
• Carry out tasks linked to customer disaster recovery plans.
• Adhere to ITSM change control protocols, including implementing fixes and upgrading, maintaining, enhancing, or adding options to z/OS products.
• A Bachelor's degree is required along with/or equivalent work experience.
• Over 5 years of experience on the zSeries (mainframe) platform.
• Practical technical experience in the installation and maintenance of products related to CICS TS / WAS and OEM product support.
• In-depth knowledge of the functionalities and applications of CICS TS.
• Experience in the installation and customization of CICS TS and related OEM products.
• Comprehensive understanding and experience with IBM’s SMP/E.
• Strong analytical skills with a solid grasp of CICS TS concepts, configurations, and customizations.
• Extensive knowledge of tools used to monitor the performance of CICS TS regions.
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and working under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team as well as work independently.
