This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the strategy for foundational models and user insights.

• Navigate high-ambiguity, long-term investments while achieving measurable objectives.

• Collaborate with vertical customer teams, horizontal signal teams, and infrastructure/platform teams.

• Ensure alignment of direction, strategy, priorities, and constraints across teams.

• Manage the model development lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment.

• Maintain high standards of machine learning performance, reliability, and robustness.

• Attract, mentor, and retain top talent in machine learning.

• Promote a culture of growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.

• Shape and expand Reddit’s foundational modeling and deep user understanding roadmap.

• Work alongside the Retrieval, Shopping, Click Prediction, Video View-Through Prediction, Conversion Prediction, and App Ads Modeling teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of management experience leading teams focused on machine learning.

• Over 6 years of experience in building and scaling machine learning models, including state-of-the-art techniques.

• At least 4 years of practical experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.

• Proven track record of training, evaluating, and deploying large-scale models throughout the entire machine learning lifecycle.

• Familiarity with foundational models and user or content comprehension.

• Experience in advertising is an advantage.

• Strong collaborative skills with technical and cross-functional partners.
