M&A Analyst – Investment Banking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop intricate financial models utilizing historical financial statements, operational assumptions, and comprehensive projections.

• Assess financial statements for precision and adherence to relevant accounting standards, including U.S. GAAP.

• Recognize and rectify accounting classifications and discrepancies within financial reports.

• Design detailed, polished, and visually appealing PowerPoint presentations.

• Assist in all phases of M&A deal execution, encompassing due diligence, financial analysis, marketing materials, and transaction documentation.

• Compose clear, professional, client-oriented materials in English.

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the transaction processes.

• Leverage AI tools to enhance research, analysis, document preparation, and overall workflow efficiency.

• Handle multiple priorities while delivering precise work under tight deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of pertinent professional experience; candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 10 years of relevant experience.

• Direct experience in mergers and acquisitions.

• Strong capabilities in financial modeling and valuation.

• Comprehensive understanding of financial statements and U.S. GAAP.

• Proficient in PowerPoint with a keen eye for presentation design.

• Excellent command of written and spoken English.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• High attention to detail and the capacity to work independently.

• Comfortable using AI tools and adapting to new technology-driven workflows.

• Located in Colombia, preferably Bogotá, although exceptional candidates from other locations may be considered.

• Experience in investment banking, especially within an M&A team, strategy or management consulting related to M&A due diligence, transaction advisory, or M&A accounting at an accounting firm, private equity investment or acquisition teams, or corporate development/internal M&A strategy.
