LTC Pharmacy Order Entry Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Input prescription orders and medical records into the computer system.

• Reach out to physician’s offices for refill authorization when necessary.

• Contact clients to confirm orders as required.

• Handle the processing of new and refill prescriptions.

• Open orders, verify eligibility, proofread, and input prescriptions while adhering to productivity and quality standards.

• Record correspondence and follow up within the system.

• Prepare audit sheets and provide feedback to management.

• Forward incomplete or rejected prescriptions to the relevant department and monitor the resolution status.

• Investigate lost or missing orders as requested.

• Offer backup support to other pharmacy divisions based on business requirements or production levels.

• Respond to incoming calls promptly and deliver exceptional customer service.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED).

• Pharmacy Technician license and Certification (CPhT) in accordance with state regulations.

• Experience with FrameWorks LTC is essential.

• Capacity to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Preferred experience in pharmacy data entry; a minimum of one year is required.

• Strong understanding of Brand/Generic pharmaceuticals and medical terminology.

• Experience with Docutrack is preferred.

• New hires must secure all state-mandated Pharmacy Technician licenses within 60 days of employment if not already obtained.

• New employees are required to achieve Pharmacy Technician National Certification within six months of hiring if not already certified.
