LTC Pharmacy Order Entry Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Input prescription orders and medical records into the computer system.

• Reach out to physician’s offices for authorization of refills as necessary.

• Contact clients for verification of orders as required.

• Manage the processing of new and refill prescriptions.

• Open orders, confirm eligibility, verify, and enter prescriptions while adhering to productivity and quality standards.

• Document communication and follow up in the system.

• Prepare audit sheets and offer feedback to the manager.

• Forward incomplete or rejected prescriptions to the relevant department and monitor the resolution status.

• Investigate lost or missing orders as requested.

• Provide backup support to other pharmacy teams based on business requirements or production levels.

• Respond to incoming calls promptly while delivering high-quality customer service.

• Work rotating weekends and holidays as dictated by operational needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

• A Pharmacy Technician license and Certification (CPhT) in accordance with state regulations.

• Experience with FrameWorks LTC is essential.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule as required by operational needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Long-term care pharmacy experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with Frameworks and Docutrack is preferred.

• At least one year of pharmacy data entry experience is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Brand/Generic medications and medical terminology.

• New hires must obtain all state-required Pharmacy Technician licenses within 60 days of employment if not already possessed.

• New hires must achieve their Pharmacy Technician National Certification within six months of employment if not already certified.
