LTC Pharmacy Order Entry Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Input prescription orders and medical records into the computer system.

• Reach out to physicians' offices for refill authorization when necessary.

• Contact clients for order confirmation as required.

• Manage all new and refill prescriptions.

• Open orders, verify eligibility, and accurately input prescriptions while upholding productivity and quality standards.

• Record correspondence and follow up within the system.

• Prepare audit sheets and offer feedback to the manager.

• Forward incomplete or rejected scripts to the relevant department and monitor resolution status.

• Investigate lost or missing orders as requested.

• Provide backup support to other pharmacy groups based on business needs or production levels.

• Answer incoming calls promptly and deliver exceptional customer service.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

• Pharmacy Technician license and Certification (CPhT) in accordance with state regulations.

• Experience in long-term care pharmacy is preferred.

• Familiarity with Frameworks and Docutrack is a plus.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule as operational needs require, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Minimum of one year of pharmacy data entry experience is preferred.

• Strong understanding of Brand/Generic drugs and medical terminology.

• New hires will have 60 days from their start date to obtain all state-required Pharmacy Technician licenses and six months from their start date to achieve their Pharmacy Technician National Certification, if not already possessed.
