This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Pull, route, terminate, label, and dress structured cabling, including Cat6/Cat6A and fiber.
• Install IP cameras, run cables to them, and assist the Lead in bringing systems online.
• Set up access control hardware, comprising readers, controllers, electric hardware, and request-to-exit devices.
• Run speaker cables, mount speakers and amplifiers, and aid in audio system installation.
• Install patch panels, switches, and PoE devices according to specifications.
• Construct cable trays, ladder racks, and pathways as necessary.
• Test and troubleshoot cable runs under the direction of the Lead.
• Adhere to the Lead’s guidance regarding tasks, sequencing, and quality standards.
• Maintain an organized work area, safeguard completed work, and ensure the site is clean each day.
• Comply with safety standards by wearing PPE, using ladders and lifts safely, and reporting any safety concerns.
• Travel to operating Lava Island parks for warranty work, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades.
• A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in low voltage installation, electrical work, or a related construction trade.
• Equivalent vocational training will be considered.
• Basic knowledge of structured cabling concepts and installation practices.
• Eagerness to learn about IP camera, access control, and commercial audio installation.
• Capability to follow detailed technical instructions from a senior team member.
• Willingness to travel extensively with multi-day to multi-week site assignments.
• OSHA 10 certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Equipment certifications (scissor lift, forklift, boom lift) or a willingness to acquire them.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Must pass a background check.
• Ability to work at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical installation tasks on an active construction site.
• BICSI Installer 1 certification, prior experience with IP cameras or access control, and bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are significant advantages.
