Loss Control National Accounts Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Perform designated underwriting assessments at both prospect and policyholder sites.

• Outline business operations, as well as employee injury and illness risks, along with corresponding controls.

• Recognize and assess workplace safety and health risks, which encompass ergonomics, machinery, falls, motor vehicle incidents, and occupational diseases.

• Assess the efficacy of safety and health programs.

• Identify intricate engineering and administrative controls aimed at minimizing workers' compensation loss risks.

• Employ evidence-based methods to discern trends and prioritize service requirements across multiple locations.

• Formulate safety and health service plans while providing continuous consultation.

• Supervise the activities and suggestions of other Safety & Health personnel managing assigned accounts.

• Guarantee effective and cost-efficient service provision.

• Persuade policyholder decision-makers to adopt recommendations.

• Compile reports for policyholders and internal stakeholders, including executive summaries and annual reports.

• Design and deliver training for policyholders.

• Examine serious workers' compensation incidents.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with policyholders and agencies.

• Promote Zenith and the Safety & Health division within cross-functional marketing teams.

• Collaborate with regional and corporate Safety & Health leaders to enhance service delivery and account performance.

• Meet departmental criteria for work quality, productivity, and timely service.

• Engage in projects and fulfill other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, science, or engineering is mandatory.

• A Master's Degree related to safety or health; or at least one recognized professional certification such as CSP, ARM, or CIH is required.

• Over 5 years of experience in safety and health.

• Demonstrated success in coordinating services for large and multi-location accounts.

• Strong familiarity with P&C insurance agency and broker operations is highly preferred.

• Excellent ability to acquire, analyze, and report loss data.

• Knowledge of workers' compensation insurance, including experience modification, underwriting, loss-sensitive plans, and claims processes.

• Working knowledge of return-to-work program features and advantages.

• In-depth understanding of performance metrics for workers' compensation insurance carriers and the financial implications for the Safety & Health department.

• Basic understanding of the features and benefits of occupational medicine provider networks.

• Proficient communication, sales, and presentation abilities.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other standard business software.

• Capability to learn and utilize proprietary Zenith systems.

• Valid Driver's License in good standing.
