Logistics Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of daily 3PL fulfillment efficiency, ensuring that shipments adhere to OTIF and SLA objectives.

• Oversee domestic freight and establish relationships with carriers, including negotiating rates.

• Review freight billing and resolve claims to recover costs resulting from carrier overcharges or service failures.

• Manage the freight and logistics budget, monitor expenditures, and provide monthly variance reports to leadership.

• Develop and sustain real-time logistics and carrier performance reporting.

• Ensure complete product traceability from co-manufacturer to delivery.

• Collaborate with Food Safety & Quality teams on investigations.

• Act as the main point of contact between Customer Care and the 3PL network concerning fulfillment and delivery challenges.

• Complete the onboarding process for freight and 3PL systems and map the carrier and 3PL network.

• Initiate a live logistics performance dashboard and document essential SOPs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or transportation, preferably within the CPG sector.

• Experience with cross-border OTR freight is advantageous.

• Demonstrated expertise in auditing freight invoices and recovering costs due to carrier mistakes.

• Direct experience in negotiating rates or contract terms with carriers.

• Capability to create and maintain performance reporting using tools like Google Sheets, Looker, or equivalent platforms.

• Proven ability to independently establish processes where none existed before.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a comfort level with holding external vendors accountable.
