Logistics Coordinator

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate both inbound and outbound logistics, encompassing shipping, receiving, and inventory oversight.

• Collaborate with carriers and freight forwarders to negotiate shipping rates, schedule deliveries, and monitor shipment status in real time.

• Prepare and manage shipping documentation, which includes bills of lading, customs paperwork, and invoices.

• Track inventory levels and ensure precise stock counts are maintained.

• Partner with warehouse teams to address and resolve any inventory inconsistencies.

• Engage with sales, procurement, customer service, and various other internal departments.

• Recognize and execute process enhancements to improve efficiency, lower costs, and reduce transit times.

• Address logistical challenges and delays swiftly.

• Maintain precise logistics records and create key performance indicator (KPI) reports.

• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety protocols, and organizational policies.

• Utilize logistics software and systems for managing shipments, tracking inventory, and conducting data analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Logistics Coordinator, Supply Chain Specialist, or in a comparable position.

• Comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes, supply chain management, and transportation methodologies.

• Proficient in logistics software and ERP systems, including SAP or Oracle.

• Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a remote team environment.

• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.

• Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs procedures is beneficial.
