LogicMonitor Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily administration of the LogicMonitor platform, including user management, monitoring configurations, device onboarding, dashboards, and alert notifications.

• Handle MACDs across devices, groups, and configurations.

• Verify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the LogicMonitor platform, elevating to vendor support when necessary.

• Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and hygiene within the platform.

• Generate reports for clients and internal Service Delivery teams.

• Research, update, and maintain thousands of device DataSources.

• Design, build, and sustain LogicMonitor-to-ITSM (ServiceNow) workflows, integrations, and automations.

• Develop, update, and enhance LogicMonitor DataSources, EventSources, PropertySources, config sources, and scripts.

• Create automation workflows and custom integrations utilizing Groovy, Java, Python, and automation scripting tools.

• Automate onboarding, configuration updates, and repetitive administrative tasks.

• Construct internal tools and scripts to optimize monitoring processes and ensure scalability.

• Execute end-to-end device onboarding for servers, network devices, applications, cloud resources, and APIs.

• Configure and validate monitoring using SNMP, WMI, OIDs, and other monitoring methods.

• Guarantee monitoring accuracy, threshold tuning, and alert fidelity.

• Work collaboratively with infrastructure, DevOps, network engineering, application, ServiceNow, and Salesforce teams.

• Implement, configure, and manage API integrations with Cisco Meraki, Microsoft Azure, and AWS.

• Develop custom collectors or scripts for platforms lacking native integrations.

• Partner with clients and onboarding project teams.

• Document processes, standards, DataSource customizations, workflows, and integration patterns.

• Suggest monitoring enhancements, standardization, and automation possibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in administering LogicMonitor or similar enterprise monitoring platforms.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience specifically with LogicMonitor.

• Proficient in Groovy, Java, Python, and general automation scripting.

• Experience with modern Linux and Windows systems environments.

• Strong knowledge of SNMP, WMI, OID structures, and other monitoring protocols.

• Solid understanding of server infrastructures (Windows & Linux) and networking principles.

• Experience in building or customizing monitoring DataSources or equivalent monitoring templates.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and integration workflows.

• Experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS.

• Ability to analyze complex monitoring data and troubleshoot collection issues.

• Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.

• LogicMonitor Certified Professional (LMCP) or equivalent certifications are preferred.

• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell) is preferred.

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD workflows is preferred.

• Background or familiarity in SRE, DevOps, or monitoring engineering roles is preferred.

• Knowledge of container monitoring (Kubernetes, Docker) is preferred.

• Minor experience or awareness of Salesforce CRM is preferred.

• Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management frameworks is preferred.
