Client Virtualization Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Administer and oversee Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.

• Provide support for virtual infrastructure utilizing Nutanix, VMware, and Citrix technologies.

• Monitor system performance while troubleshooting hardware, operating system, and infrastructure problems.

• Manage essential infrastructure services, which include Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and server replication.

• Apply system updates and enhancements in accordance with established best practices.

• Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to uphold system security and compliance standards.

• Work together with cross-functional IT teams to support the enterprise infrastructure.

• Create and maintain technical documentation and assist with user training initiatives.

• Refer to written work instructions for daily operational activities.

• Support and maintain a complex Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.

• Manage and optimize both physical and virtual infrastructure.

• Introduce new technologies that align with industry best practices.

• Ensure system performance, reliability, and security standards are met.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• Over 2 years of experience administering and supporting VMware environments, including vCenter, vSphere, and ESXi.

• Experience in implementing, migrating, supporting, and troubleshooting cloud-based infrastructure and architecture solutions.

• Familiarity with administering or supporting enterprise data storage technologies, including NAS and SAN solutions.

• Experience in implementing, configuring, or supporting hyperconverged infrastructure solutions, such as Nutanix and Citrix platforms.

• Experience working with networking technologies, including TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, and routers, in enterprise settings.

• Proven ability to develop technical solutions and documentation to address complex infrastructure issues and support recurring issue prevention.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are permitted to access information under this program/contract.

• Written work instructions are provided in English only.

• Preferred: Over 4 years of experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX virtual computing methods.

• Preferred: Cloud foundation certification in Azure, AWS, or Oracle.

• Preferred: Experience with remote service projection using HP blade technology, HP Boost, Loestream, NVIDIA GPU, Citrix, and Nutanix hyper-converged capabilities.

• Preferred: Advanced understanding of system performance monitoring and deployment of related tools.

• Preferred: Experience in patch management utilizing Windows WSUS, SCCM, or other standard tools.

• Preferred: System administration experience in a Linux environment.

• Preferred: Basic knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, remote services, and performance optimization techniques.

• Preferred: Experience with license management in a Windows or Linux environment.
