Loan Processor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess loan applications

• Develop condition checklists

• Discuss conditions with borrowers and resolve them

• Collaborate with the Loan Counselor/Closing team

• Provide customer interaction as necessary

• Underwrite loan files utilizing knowledge of mortgage industry and relocation policies

• Gather and evaluate documentation

• Formulate loan decisions

• Make independent choices based on mortgage lending standards

• Examine data and appraisals for acceptability in the secondary market

• Ensure loans are in purchasable condition for the Secondary Department

• Submit loans through underwriting systems, underwriters, and/or investors for authorization

• Collaborate with borrowers, Loan Counselors, Closers, agents, underwriters, and team members

• Relay the approval process and essential information to borrowers

• Complete required skills in the Training Program

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Mortgage Banking or a related field with loan operations preferred

• Manage an annual volume of 200 closed loans

• Maintain scores of at least 75% or higher on all position metrics

• Fundamental understanding of the mortgage process

• High School diploma is mandatory

• College degree is preferred

• Occasionally work with FHA/VA loans

• Technical proficiency in the mortgage industry

• Familiarity with relocation policies and practices

• Capability to interpret mortgage lending guidelines

• Skill in analyzing data and appraisals

• Proficiency in using underwriting systems

• Ability to engage with borrowers, agents, underwriters, and team members
