Loan Partner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Assist the Mortgage Loan Originator with the administration and processing of mortgage loans.

• Aid in the origination and loan processing tasks, which include organizing borrower documentation, filing, and performing administrative functions.

• Conduct initial research to determine mortgage eligibility.

• Support pre-qualification and pre-approval processes by obtaining credit reports, running AUS, and collecting borrower information.

• Organize and schedule signing appointments.

• Communicate with borrowers and relevant stakeholders to ensure prompt and professional customer service.

• Prepare loan files for submission to the processing team.

• Execute data entry, establish customer files, and input application information.

• Request and follow up on additional documentation from borrowers.

• Update and maintain marketing and loan databases for new loans.

• Assist MLO marketing initiatives by updating records and sending thank-you notes to customers and realtors.

• Perform various clerical and ad hoc duties as needed.

• May originate loans, if applicable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge and experience in administrative assistance, clerical tasks, and customer service.

• Familiarity with the mortgage banking industry and understanding of Conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage products.

• Clear comprehension of current RESPA laws and guidelines.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service skills.

• Skills in teamwork and productivity.

• Proficient PC skills and a solid understanding of MS Office applications.

• Ability to utilize the Encompass loan origination system.

• Attention to detail in a dynamic work environment.

• Knowledge of administrative best practices and procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• A 2–4 year college curriculum is preferred.

• Minimum of two years' experience and/or training.

• Familiarity with Encompass Database software or similar, along with basic computer skills.

• Active MLO Originator License approved by NMLS.

• Regular attendance is mandatory.

• Daily computer usage and close vision capabilities are necessary.
