Loan Originator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assess PrimeLending’s and other loan offerings to identify which financial products are best suited to meet customers’ requirements and financial situations.

• Build and sustain relationships with real estate agents, bank personnel, builders, and new home sales representatives to foster and maintain business growth.

• Promote and market PrimeLending’s financial offerings.

• Achieve the Company's minimum monthly production targets in funded units/volume by accurately completing loan applications.

• Oversee customer interactions and engage with all parties involved in each loan from application through to closing.

• Guide and pre-qualify prospective home buyers.

• Gather and evaluate customer information regarding income, assets, investments, and liabilities.

• Provide advice to customers on the pros and cons of various loan products.

• Serve existing clients and collect necessary support documents, fees, and lock-in details.

• Manage the loan process by tracking loan status and ensuring compliance with terms.

• Relay loan status updates to interested parties and secure loan documentation post-closing.

• Present loan terms and conditions clearly to customers.

• Stay informed about local real estate market trends, competitive landscapes, and mortgage regulations.

• Uphold a professional appearance and adhere to company policies and procedures.

• May oversee and manage loan officers, loan officer assistants, or loan processors.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, along with any required licenses as mandated by state regulations.

• A valid driver's license and current automobile liability insurance.

• At least 12 months of experience as a loan originator is required.

• Proven judgment and decision-making capabilities.

• Outstanding presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to swiftly evaluate and process large volumes of data and utilize relevant AU software technology.

• Must engage actively within the community and in job-related organizations to enhance networking opportunities.

• Continuously broaden understanding of factors impacting the industry and the organization.
