This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Conduct individual consultations to comprehend clients’ financial objectives and evaluate mortgage loan eligibility.
• Educate clients regarding mortgage products, terms, and options while providing tailored recommendations.
• Respond to inquiries concerning rates, products, and application status.
• Assist in the mortgage application process and gather necessary documentation.
• Build and sustain relationships with referral sources to generate loan prospects.
• Collaborate with production support teams to drive sales using company resources and online marketing.
• Coordinate, create, track, and distribute marketing materials effectively.
• Cultivate referral bases, generate leads independently, and maintain lists of referral sources and clients.
• Work alongside underwriters, processors, realtors, and lenders throughout the loan approval process.
• Accurately complete 1003 applications and close a minimum of two loans each month or six loans per quarter.
• Collect borrower documentation including paystubs, tax returns, W-2s, award letters, employment-gap letters, and bank statements.
• Provide needs lists and complete applications at the initial point of borrower contact.
• Secure executed disclosures within regulatory time limits.
• Obtain accurate AUS findings and assess credit reports and financial scenarios.
• Identify suitable loan products and profitable pricing, while communicating fees to operations.
• Submit comprehensive loan packages to processing.
• Lock in interest rates.
• Review Closing Disclosures to ensure accurate fees and cash-to-close amounts.
• Keep clients and agents updated, addressing any questions and concerns.
• Remain informed about industry regulations, lending trends, and changes in mortgage guidelines.
• Perform any reasonable tasks assigned by Guild Mortgage Company or the Managing Loan Officer.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of two years of experience in mortgage lending or a related field is necessary.
• NMLS License is required.
• Flexibility to meet with customers outside the branch is essential.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required.
• A strong sense of urgency and responsiveness is crucial.
• Customer-service orientation, patience, and professionalism are necessary.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications is needed.
• Capability to learn new tasks, retain processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions is essential.
• Ability to adhere to and apply process protocols in a timely manner is crucial.
• Proficiency in operating standard office equipment and keyboards is required.
