Loan Officer Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist mortgage loan officers in their daily responsibilities to enhance loan production rates.

• Collaborate directly with customers, loan officers, and processors to ensure a favorable customer experience and facilitate timely loan closings.

• Evaluate mortgage loan applications and associated documentation, which includes phone and computer tasks such as printing, copying, scanning, emailing, and sending documents overnight.

• Examine mortgage loan disclosure packages and ensure their delivery to borrowers.

• Prepare rate disclosure and re-disclosure packages and distribute them to borrowers.

• Review documents and complete loan files, identify any deficiencies, and inform mortgage loan officers and/or loan processors.

• Clarify or amend information and gather additional details via phone and email communication.

• Provide general clerical and telephone assistance to loan officers and/or loan processors.

• Support management in various stages and areas of lending and processing.

• Aid in managing a pipeline of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, 203K, and reverse mortgage loans.

• Deliver appraisals and/or property valuations to borrowers and confirm receipt.

• Monitor outstanding items on loan files and follow up with customers to secure necessary documentation.

• Work closely with title companies and customers to arrange timely loan closings.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or an equivalent qualification.

• At least 1 year of experience in the mortgage field, including customer interaction.

• Previous experience in sales support is preferred.

• Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.

• Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.

• Strong prioritization and time management skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
