Loan Fulfillment Construction Lending Risk Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Supervise a team of managers and supervisors responsible for the evaluation of permanent loan risks in construction.

• Assess builders, contracts, budgets/costs, appraisals, complexity of home design/specifications, surveys, and adhere to internal program guidelines.

• Manage the resolution of overdue interest loans, matured loans, loans encumbered by liens or lawsuits, disputes between builders/borrowers, and other challenging loans.

• Collaborate with borrowers, builders, title agents, and attorneys within the compliance framework to secure beneficial outcomes for the bank.

• Develop project review guidelines that comply with state regulations and Regions’ Construction Permanent loan agreements.

• Lead departmental operations, analytics, and reporting functions.

• Tackle problem loans and offer suitable solutions.

• Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives to ensure the timely conversion of loans.

• Manage departmental staffing based on business cycles and technological needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and eight (8) years of experience in banking or a related field, or a High School Diploma/GED and twelve (12) years of relevant banking experience.

• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.

• Familiarity with construction lending administration and processes.

• Capability to address complex customer issues effectively.

• Ability to lead and manage a team successfully.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Strong time management abilities.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated strong work ethic and self-motivation.
