This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the prompt processing and fulfillment of commercial loans
• Handle simple to semi-complex commercial loans and basic to semi-complex client relationships as part of the deal team
• Ensure the precision and consistency of loan documents to reduce bank risk
• Assist in investigating and resolving loan-related issues
• Monitor and manage the loan pipeline, loan maturities, uninsured reports, and overdue reports
• Prioritize tasks to achieve processing objectives and meet customer expectations
• Provide backup support to other Loan Assistants during paid time off and absences
• Stay informed about state and federal lending regulations, bank policies, and guidelines
• Gather and organize borrower documentation, including income verification, credit reports, and identification
• Accurately enter data into loan processing systems
• Order title searches, UCC searches, appraisals, and flood certifications
• Coordinate closings with lenders, attorneys, insurance agents, and clients
• Initiate the disbursement of closing funds and issue loan proceeds via checks or wires
• Review closed and funded loans for document completion and ensure timely and accurate booking
• Obtain post-purchase documentation and maintain a tickler system for outstanding post-closing documentation
• Report on collateral and exception monitoring status during weekly meetings
• Support up to 2–3 lenders and other stakeholders throughout the loan process
• Assist clients and address their questions and information requests
• Inform clients of any issues or discrepancies and help facilitate resolutions
• Foster company culture, build internal and external customer relationships, and engage in community projects
• Participate in learning and development initiatives
• Maintain confidentiality, secure necessary approvals, meet deadlines, and adhere to security, fraud-prevention, consumer-protection, and internal guidelines
• Travel as necessary for lender/client meetings, all-hands meetings, career development, site visits, and acquisition/merger support
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• 3–4 years of experience in commercial lending documentation
• 3–4 years of experience as a Loan Assistant I or in a comparable role
• Strong understanding of loan products and procedures
• Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office
• Ability to prioritize tasks, think independently, and work autonomously
• Capability to analyze and resolve problems effectively
• Ability to demonstrate personal and professional accountability while working with minimal supervision
• Completion of required annual compliance training and New Employee Orientation
• Proficient in accessing and interpreting information on computer screens, documents, and reports
