LMSW or MHC-LP Outpatient Private Practice Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional outpatient clinical care that aligns with Rivia Mind’s culture, values, and guiding principles.

• Maintain a consistent schedule of weekly patient sessions for self-pay, insurance, and Medicare clients.

• Ensure a reliable weekly patient-care timetable that meets productivity expectations.

• Adhere to care-model practices that emphasize continuity of care, frequent follow-ups, and effective calendar management.

• Conduct thorough intake evaluations and create personalized, patient-centered treatment plans.

• Provide psychotherapy utilizing modalities such as CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.

• Offer clinical support and counseling to a diverse array of patient populations in a telehealth setting.

• Guide patients in managing ongoing health issues and facilitating positive behavioral changes.

• Provide counseling and crisis intervention, including the assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Ensure compliance with clinical standards and complete session-note documentation in a timely and thorough manner.

• Engage in a friendly, collaborative, and co-learning workplace culture.

• Carry out other related duties and team functions as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active New York State license (LMSW/MHC-LP), or an active associate-level license or permit (e.g., LMSW, LSW, LAC, MHC, or equivalent).

• Up to 2 years of post-licensure experience if not independently licensed.

• A Master's degree in Social Work or a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.

• Minimum of one year of experience in practicing psychotherapy; practicum clinical experience is acceptable.

• Proficient in various technology platforms and systems, including Google Suite, company-specific platforms/software, and EHR systems as applicable.

• Intermediate computer skills and a strong technical aptitude are required.

• Capability to provide telehealth clinical support and counseling to diverse patient populations.

• Fluency in additional languages is a plus.

• Experience or interest in working with couples is a plus.

• Certifications in CBT, DBT, or EMDR are advantageous.

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; work visa sponsorship is not available.
