This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Oversee assigned civil litigation cases from the initial stages through discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Ensure accurate and organized management of case files, client documents, discovery materials, correspondence, and litigation records.
• Review, analyze, summarize, and systematize pleadings, discovery responses, medical records, and other relevant case documents.
• Assist attorneys with the preparation of complaints, interrogatories, requests for production, and other discovery-related documents.
• Gather, organize, and monitor medical records, non-party records, and additional supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with witnesses, experts, clients, and other participants involved in the cases.
• Equip attorneys for client meetings, depositions, hearings, and trial sessions.
• Provide assistance with deposition preparation, which includes document organization, exhibits, records, and case summaries.
• Support litigation in federal courts while adhering to relevant filing, case management, and documentation protocols.
• Acquire knowledge of and adhere to client-specific documents, naming conventions, workflows, and document management procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or Legal Studies, or a recognized Paralegal Certificate.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical civil litigation paralegal experience, ideally within the 3-5 year range.
• Significant experience in supporting U.S. litigation pertaining to personal injury cases.
• Familiarity with pleadings, interrogatories, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation processes.
• Experience handling medical records and non-party records in litigation contexts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a strong focus on detail.
• Capability to manage deadlines, organize multiple active cases, and work independently following training.
• Experience in personal injury defense or broader civil defense litigation.
• Experience with federal court litigation.
• Knowledge of Florida civil litigation (preferred).
• Previous remote support experience for a U.S. law firm.
• Proficiency in communicating with and coordinating experts and witnesses.
