This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras, +6 more countries.
β’ Prepare and organize pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery materials, and other documents related to cases.
β’ Assist in the preparation, organization, and filing of legal documentation.
β’ Aid in scheduling, calendaring, managing deadlines, hearings, meetings, and other activities pertinent to cases.
β’ Support court filings and maintain precise filing records.
β’ Draft and proofread correspondence, emails, and various legal documents.
β’ Make and receive professional phone calls regarding cases, courts, attorneys, and clients.
β’ Keep electronic and physical case files well-organized.
β’ Follow up with courts, clients, attorneys, and other parties to facilitate progress on matters.
β’ Identify additional tasks and areas where the legal team may need support.
β’ Assist in discovery preparation, document organization, and case management.
β’ Provide support to attorneys and paralegals in case preparation and general litigation duties.
β’ Carry out other legal and administrative responsibilities as required.
β’ Coordinate with courts, attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties.
β’ Monitor deadlines and ensure that assigned tasks are completed punctually.
β’ Deliver daily legal and administrative assistance to attorneys and paralegals.
β’ Prior experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary in a law firm setting is preferred.
β’ Experience in supporting attorneys with legal and administrative tasks.
β’ Strong knowledge of legal office procedures and case management practices.
β’ Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
β’ Capability to effectively manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
β’ Proficient in computer and document management systems.
β’ Quick learner with the ability to adjust to new systems and procedures.
β’ Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment.
β’ Prior litigation experience, especially in Florida, is preferred.
β’ Experience with contracts, corporate matters, business litigation, or commercial litigation is an advantage.
β’ Familiarity with the Florida Court E-Filing Portal is preferred.
β’ Experience with legal case management systems.
β’ Experience with document management systems.
β’ Availability to work from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST/EDT.
