
Litigation Insurance Adjuster – Pacific Time Zone

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take proactive charge of the litigation process for designated claims.
• Investigate, assess, negotiate, and resolve large and/or complex third-party litigated claim cases.
• Analyze coverage and liability exposures.
• Determine the need to engage external resources for claim investigations, expert evaluations, or legal assistance.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Risk Management, Actuarial, and Legal teams.
• Educate and inform business partners and credit unions about risks, exposures, operations, and efficiencies.
• Provide timely reporting in accordance with claim handling guidelines.
• Manage claims across multiple states.
• Aim for maximum recovery or contribution.
• Foster and strengthen partnerships with credit unions through proactive professional consultation.
• Advise on credit union risks and loss prevention related to litigation.
• Ensure consistent management of commercial insurance claims.
• Incorporate recovery processes into claim resolution.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 7 years of claims experience, with a particular emphasis on litigation.
• Proven knowledge of policy coverage and interpretation skills.
• Capability to meet the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, including effectively in a remote office setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, web applications, and general computer skills.
• Some travel may be required for mediations, trials, and visits to credit unions.
• Familiarity with relevant statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Understanding of financial services operations.
• Competence in handling claims across multiple states.
• Adjuster License and Continuing Education as necessary.
• AIC, CPCU, or other relevant professional education is a plus.
• Experience in project management is advantageous.
• Prior experience with Program Third Party Administrators is beneficial.
