Lithuanian Localization QA Tester, Proofreader – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Review and enhance localized Lithuanian content, ensuring accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, formatting, and cultural context.

• Execute product test cases while identifying localization-related bugs.

• Document and report bugs and errors using both internal and client-specific bug-tracking systems.

• Confirm that implemented fixes have been resolved correctly.

• Translate content from English to Lithuanian as necessary.

• Navigate user interfaces to pinpoint localization and functional issues.

• Assess translations in software, mobile applications, and documentation.

• Serve as a Lithuanian linguistic subject matter expert.

• Troubleshoot basic issues and escalate testing problems as needed.

• Complete assigned tasks accurately, punctually, and in accordance with quality standards.

• Fluency in Lithuanian at a native level.

• In-depth language skills and cultural understanding of Lithuania and its people.

• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and a dedication to quality.

• Quick and efficient understanding and prioritization of tasks and issues.

• Capability to accurately follow testing instructions and test cases.

• Background or experience in Marketing, Journalism, Copy Editing, Proofreading, Writing, Translation, and/or Localization.

• Ability to research and resolve linguistic queries in Lithuanian.

• Proficient in troubleshooting basic issues, effectively communicating, and escalating testing concerns.

• Familiarity with project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, checklists, and glossaries.
