LIMS Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with client laboratory and business teams to gather and document user requirements.

• Convert business and laboratory needs into functional configurations and workflows within SampleManager LIMS.

• Create and tailor SampleManager features utilizing Explorer folders, forms, C#, and VGL.

• Design custom reports, report templates, and labels as required.

• Connect SampleManager with laboratory equipment, LES, Integration Manager, and external enterprise systems.

• Provide user training and system support to client personnel as necessary.

• Offer troubleshooting and technical assistance to client project teams to promptly address operational issues.

• Report directly to a Delivery Director or Manager.

• Operate remotely in Canada with a high degree of autonomy.

• Travel may be required on a limited basis.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field is preferred; relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory informatics, lab automation, or LIMS administration.

• At least 2 years of practical experience with Thermo Fisher SampleManager LIMS configuration and administration.

• Proficiency in programming with C#/.NET, VGL, and SQL for developer-level tasks.

• Familiarity with SampleManager LES and Sweeper, or Integration Manager, for the integration of information systems and lab instruments.

• Experience in a laboratory environment is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to independently manage tight deadlines in a remote work setting.
