Life Sciences Growth Director

📋 Description

• Take charge of revenue generation for Synapticure’s Research divisions, focusing primarily on Clinical Research and Real-World Evidence services offered to pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners.

• Identify, qualify, develop, and finalize research collaborations with sponsors while expanding these relationships over time.

• Meet and exceed annual bookings and revenue objectives.

• Establish and sustain a robust pipeline through prospecting, targeted outreach to sponsors, participation in conferences, and account development.

• Manage the entire deal cycle, encompassing discovery, solution development, proposal creation, SOW drafting, pricing, negotiation, and closure.

• Formulate account strategies for key sponsors and outline multi-year growth paths.

• Collaborate with clinical operations, data, and finance teams to define engagements while safeguarding margins and delivery capabilities.

• Ensure CRM accuracy, forecasting, and pipeline updates for the SVP and executive team.

• Represent Synapticure at industry events, sponsor gatherings, and partner forums.

• Promote laboratory and diagnostic services when suitable.

• Cultivate relationships with research-granting and advocacy organizations.

• Seek out grant-funded and foundation-sponsored research opportunities and manage RFP, RFA, and grant submissions.

• Develop partnerships and relationships with CROs and other channels.

• Monitor funding trends across relevant disease sectors.

• Define research services, service specifications, deliverables, commercial models, pricing, and market positioning.

• Create sales-support materials, including capability presentations, one-pagers, case studies, proposal templates, and pricing structures.

• Provide insights on competitive landscapes and market trends.

• Collaborate with clinical, operations, data, legal, and finance teams to ensure contract compliance and successful project transitions.

• Contribute to commercial strategy, prioritize target accounts, and assist in annual planning.


⛳️ Requirements

• Direct experience in pharma or life sciences, either by selling services to pharmaceutical or biotechnology firms or by working within a relevant role in a pharma/biotech organization.

• Over 8 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a commercial, business development, or partnership-oriented position.

• Proven history of successfully closing complex, consultative deals involving multiple stakeholders with pharma or biotech clients.

• Strong understanding of the clinical research and/or real-world evidence sectors, including study designs, sponsor decision-making processes, budgeting, contracting cycles, and the roles of CROs, sites, and data partners.

• Capability to convert ambiguous customer needs into clear, actionable service offerings.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a comfort level in presenting to senior stakeholders from sponsors and foundations.

• Willingness to travel for conferences and meetings with partners.

• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical science and concepts related to clinical care.

• Familiarity with drug development phases, endpoints, mechanisms of action, biomarkers, diagnostics, and neurological conditions.

• Experience in neurology, neurodegenerative diseases, or rare diseases.

• Background in selling or delivering decentralized/virtual clinical trial services, patient recruitment and retention services, registries, or RWE/RWD offerings.

• Established connections with sponsor research and medical affairs teams, advocacy foundations, or CROs.

• Experience in contributing to service design, pricing, or product strategy at a growing healthcare or life sciences organization.

• Experience selling in a market where the buyer's interests span commercial, medical, and research budgets.
