This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Address client needs and implement modifications to existing accounts under the guidance of the Department Manager.
• Assess applications against policy reinstatement criteria and authorize qualifying reinstatements.
• Draft business correspondence.
• Communicate with insured individuals or agents regarding information, account status, or changes.
• Review policyholder letters, applications, and company documentation to identify necessary changes and their implications.
• Adjust, update, and manage existing policies to reflect changes in coverage or insurance types.
• Inform insurance agents and the accounting department of policy cancellations.
• Handle cancellation requests in accordance with company protocols.
• Maintain organized office records and manage files or project logs.
• Process and document new insurance policies and claims.
• Prepare and file business or government forms.
• Review and confirm application and policy information.
• Transcribe and input data into worksheets and computer systems.
• Communicate task and project progress to the Supervisor.
• Anticipate project requirements, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines.
• Provide backup coverage for phone queues during times of high call volume.
• Potentially oversee trainees, policy-processing tasks, documents, and brokers.
• Assist department management with additional responsibilities.
• Adhere to relevant laws, Department of Insurance standards, carrier policies, and company procedures.
• Attend work regularly and punctually.
• Engage periodically in team meetings, training sessions, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Active P&C Licenses for CA, AZ, TX & VA.
• At least 1+ year of underwriting experience in the property and casualty insurance sector.
• Strong administrative skills in back-end processing.
• Capability to handle increased levels of responsibility.
• Comprehensive knowledge of insurance terminology, concepts, and coverage.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret industry publications, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Capability to utilize the Internet and adapt to new software applications and technological changes.
• Skill in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to solve practical challenges and interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to a paperless working environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with staff, clients, and insurance partners.
• Capacity to articulate complex issues effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to manage several projects and work assignments simultaneously.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality are required.
