Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver outpatient mental health services via Brave Health's telehealth platform.

• Provide therapy for individuals of all ages, including adolescents aged 13–17.

• Assess and diagnose mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.

• Develop personalized treatment plans.

• Perform thorough assessments of patients.

• Collaborate with clients to meet their treatment objectives.

• Utilize telehealth software, video conferencing, and internal communication tools.

• Maintain a caseload of approximately 30 patient-facing hours weekly, typically engaging with 6–8 patients daily.

• Document clinical notes concurrently during patient interactions.

• Adhere to a fixed schedule from Monday to Friday, working between 9am–6pm, 10am–7pm, or 11am–8pm Eastern Time.

• Potentially acquire additional state licenses as Brave Health expands its services.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's level degree and appropriate licensure.

• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or an equivalent clinical credential.

• Unrestricted eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

• A private workspace conducive to patient safety and compliant with HIPAA regulations.

• Proficiency in English.

• Spanish language skills preferred; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.

• Understanding of mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses.

• Experience in treatment planning.

• Comfortable using telehealth software, video communication, and internal collaboration tools.

• Proven experience in working alongside clients to achieve their goals.

• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments.

• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as necessary.

• Capability to provide one-on-one psychotherapy, including to adolescents aged 13–17.

• Availability to fulfill approximately 30 patient-facing hours weekly, typically engaging with 6–8 patients daily.

• Competence in completing clinical documentation in real-time during patient sessions.
