This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Supervise the importation process either directly or through assigned team members.

• Ensure adherence to both U.S. and international laws and regulations.

• Assist clients in navigating customs requirements and procedures.

• Prepare and file necessary customs documentation.

• Assess tariff and duty obligations.

• Monitor and classify shipments using the tariff coding system.

• Suggest routing and handling solutions for customer imports and exports.

• Create bills of lading, dock receipts, licenses, and consulate paperwork.

• Address and resolve customer issues with accuracy and professionalism.

• Support importers and exporters in understanding and complying with federal trade regulations.

• Collaborate with sales to explore new opportunities and promote services to existing clients.

• Coordinate with Operations and Customs to address any issues.

• Manage office operations in the absence of the manager.

• Provide guidance to team members, delegate tasks, and evaluate their work.

• Assist team members with departmental tasks.

• Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and company procedures.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a valid Licensed Customs Broker certification.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Licensed Customs Broker working with a brokerage.

• Experience in wine imports is preferred.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Standard Time.

• Capability to prepare and file customs documentation.

• Familiarity with tariff and duty obligations, as well as tariff coding and classification.

• Understanding of U.S. and international laws and regulations concerning customs.

• Proficiency in preparing bills of lading, dock receipts, licenses, and consulate documents.

• Ability to offer compliant government forms and information.

• Skill in advising importers and exporters on federal trade regulations.

• Competence in providing written and verbal instructions, assigning tasks, and ensuring work accuracy.
