Licensed Clinical Social Worker – NY Licensure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver GI-centered behavioral services to adult patients with gastrointestinal issues.

• Work collaboratively with a range of care providers, including physicians and dietitians, in a digitally integrated healthcare setting.

• Employ evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, relaxation methods, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, psychoeducation, and gut-directed hypnotherapy.

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and set specific goals tailored to clients' gastrointestinal conditions.

• Initiate and maintain health records and interactions within the electronic health record system.

• Adhere to company clinical guidelines and associated documentation.

• Engage in professional training activities to uphold licensure and expand knowledge.

• Attend clinical coordination meetings alongside care team members.

• Contribute to the development of psychological best practices and offer professional insights to enhance member experiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside within New York State.

• Must possess NY LCSW Licensure.

• A Master’s degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field is required.

• Active therapy license in good standing is necessary.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in delivering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, teaching relaxation strategies that influence the brain-gut connection, and Motivational Interviewing.

• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with MDs, Nurse Practitioners, Health Coaches, and Registered Dietitians.

• Proficient in using common administrative technologies such as Zoom, Slack, Office, and Google Drive or equivalent platforms.

• Experience with electronic charting is essential.

• Experience with telehealth platforms is preferred.

• Experience in GI-focused care is advantageous, though not required.
