This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Conduct personalized benefit consultations via phone or virtual meetings.
β’ Clarify options for medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
β’ Evaluate plan costs, coverage details, limitations, eligibility criteria, provider networks, and prescription plans.
β’ Assist employees in comparing choices based on their individual and family requirements.
β’ Address inquiries and provide subsequent steps.
β’ Complete enrollment forms and gather necessary employee information.
β’ Confirm eligibility, employer contributions, payroll deductions, and effective dates.
β’ Process direct-pay enrollments and related payment information if applicable.
β’ Ensure that enrollments comply with carrier, company, and regulatory standards.
β’ Follow up on any missing information and resolve or escalate outstanding questions.
β’ Review client benefit offerings, eligibility criteria, contribution amounts, and enrollment protocols prior to consultations.
β’ Stay updated on benefit products, carrier developments, company procedures, licensing requirements, and ongoing education.
β’ Maintain accurate and comprehensive notes in Meridioβs systems.
β’ Collaborate with Client Success, Coverage, Operations, and carriers to address enrollment challenges.
β’ Share frequently asked questions and procedural issues to enhance operational efficiency.
β’ Active resident-state Health and Life Insurance License in good standing.
β’ Willingness and capability to obtain additional non-resident licenses as required.
β’ Experience in employee benefits, health insurance, benefits enrollment, or a related customer-facing position.
β’ Familiarity with medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefit products.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
β’ Proficiency in using virtual meeting tools, carrier portals, benefit administration platforms, and customer tracking systems.
β’ Ability to manage personal and benefit information with confidentiality.
β’ Personal computer and a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
β’ Capability to enter into a U.S.-based independent contractor agreement and provide a completed Form W-9 if selected.
β’ Availability during U.S. weekday business hours.
β’ Bilingual communication skills are an asset.
β’ Potential for conversion to a full-time position based on business needs, performance, and mutual suitability (conversion is not guaranteed).
