This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Proactively manage liability and casualty claims.
• Enhance business development prospects through prompt marketing and follow-up efforts.
• Oversee a diverse claims portfolio.
• Execute daily responsibilities while efficiently advancing file management tasks.
• Deliver timely and effective customer service.
• Conduct investigations into claims to determine cause-and-effect relationships.
• Analyze complex legal documents and perform advanced numerical calculations.
• Effectively communicate findings and claim details.
• Collaborate with claims support, senior executives, business development personnel, and branch teams.
• Experience in Casualty, Bodily Injury, and Liability PD claims.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneDrive.
• Prior adjusting experience is preferred.
• Strong written communication abilities, encompassing grammar and technical writing.
• Proficient oral communication, listening, interviewing, and negotiation skills.
• Capability to tailor communication style to suit the audience.
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize conflicting tasks.
• Strong relationship-building capabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• A sense of urgency and responsiveness.
• A proactive and positive attitude towards customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for managing conflict and challenging situations.
• Commitment to continuous education and professional development.
• A university degree or post-secondary education related to insurance is an asset.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• CIP designation or actively working towards it.
• An adjuster’s license or completion of the first four CIP courses: C11, C12, C13, and C14.
• Completion of C110: Essentials of Loss Adjusting is considered an asset.
• A combination of education and experience may be accepted as equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills, particularly in identifying cause-and-effect relationships.
• Good investigative skills.
• Ability to draw sound conclusions and communicate them effectively.
• Proficiency in interpreting complex legal documents.
• Capability to perform and comprehend advanced numerical calculations and analyze comparative data.
