This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Conceptualize, develop, and deliver captivating levels for a mobile physics-based puzzle game.
• Design diverse challenges utilizing the game’s characters, abilities, obstacles, and environmental features.
• Gradually introduce mechanics and create a difficulty curve that maintains player interest.
• Conduct playtests to identify unclear or frustrating aspects and enhance the overall gameplay experience.
• Leverage player feedback and analytics to modify level difficulty and boost engagement.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure levels operate correctly and adhere to visual and gameplay standards.
• Propose new level concepts and combinations of mechanics to keep the game exciting for players.
• Over 3 years of demonstrated experience in game level design, ideally in mobile puzzle or physics-based games.
• Strong comprehension of puzzle design, physics-based mechanics, difficulty progression, and player psychology.
• Capability to design levels focusing on trajectories, collisions, destruction, and chain reactions.
• Experience in balancing levels to ensure solutions are clear, challenging, and rewarding.
• Ability to iterate swiftly based on playtesting, player input, and analytics.
• Proficient understanding of Unity3D Editor and level design tools.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with designers, developers, and product owners.
• Competence in clearly communicating design concepts in both written and verbal formats.
• Familiarity with the mobile gaming market and current trends.
• A portfolio showcasing levels created for shipped or playable games.
• Advanced level of English or higher.
• Experience in Unity3D development is a plus.
