This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform comprehensive legal, regulatory, legislative, corporate, and general research for attorneys and administrative personnel.
• Exhibit proficiency with Lexis, CourtLink, public records platforms, and various research tools.
• Define research objectives, propose effective research strategies, and provide actionable insights.
• Conduct business development, competitive intelligence, client, industry, and market research.
• Generate succinct research summaries, reports, and analyses of sources.
• Establish and manage alerts for clients, cases, and industry updates.
• Aid in the implementation and responsible utilization of legal AI tools.
• Assist in onboarding and training attorneys and staff on research tools, AI platforms, alerts, and best practices.
• Collaborate and work independently to produce high-quality research outcomes.
• Undertake additional related duties as required.
• Advanced degree in Library Science, MLIS or equivalent, and/or J.D. preferred.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in conducting thorough legal research.
• Experience in general litigation research, including case law and expert witness research.
• Familiarity with the legal profession and foundational knowledge of litigation and transactional practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly developed organizational capabilities.
• Knowledge of legal AI tools with demonstrated experience in utilizing AI for legal research.
• Capability to independently manage projects and complete them efficiently and effectively.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with research-related databases and a commitment to ongoing learning.
• Ability to take initiative, work under pressure, and fulfill assignments accurately, promptly, and professionally.
