This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Update and maintain policies and procedures related to data protection, security, and privacy.
• Ensure efficient management of consent.
• Assist in responding to data deletion requests and Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
• Provide prompt and practical advice in response to privacy-related inquiries.
• Review and draft contractual terms concerning data protection, including Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and Data Transfer Agreements (DTAs).
• Support the onboarding process for new technologies and vendors.
• Maintain Records of Processing Activities (ROPA).
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Carry out Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs).
• Assist with compliance related to GDPR and privacy-by-design principles.
• Monitor new developments in data protection legislation.
• Oversee data processing registrations in various jurisdictions.
• Deliver or supervise GDPR training for new employees and business teams.
• Support ISO 27001, ISO 27701, GDPR, UK GDPR, and other privacy-related certifications.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with data protection and privacy legislation, including GDPR and UK GDPR.
• Ideally, experience within global technology firms.
• IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or an equivalent certification is preferred.
• A general understanding of technology and security issues that affect privacy projects and programs.
• Awareness of ongoing and recent developments in the privacy landscape.
• Experience with cross-border data privacy matters and implementing local regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and navigate through uncertainty.
