Legal Counsel – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance on ongoing transactions, encompassing secondary deals, post-closing matters, consent requirements, and legacy transactions with challenges.

• Engage directly with clients, including syndicate leaders and investors.

• Modify and reissue Odin’s contracts and templates.

• Address regulatory inquiries across different jurisdictions as Odin expands into the US and introduces new fund structures.

• Collaborate with engineers and operations to transform recurring legal decisions into templates, playbooks, and automated workflows.

• Leverage AI tools to draft and scale legal documentation.

• Manage internal legal repositories.

• Elevate issues to the founders only when the risk genuinely necessitates it.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), with a solid academic and training foundation.

• Background in commercial or corporate law.

• Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

• Strong commercial judgment and the ability to make decisions independently.

• Comfortable interacting with clients, even in challenging discussions.

• In-house experience at a startup or scale-up, preferably in fintech (desirable).

• Familiarity with special purpose vehicles (SPVs), funds, or private markets (desirable).

• Practical experience in creating templates, playbooks, or automated workflows using AI tools (desirable).
